Neuroanaesthesia with Dr Kathryn Bell

27th February, 2018., 6:30pm - 9:00pm

Join us for an evening of Neuroanaesthesia with Dr Kathryn Bell. Dr Bell will be giving us a talk covering the physiology of neuroanaesthesia, the effects of a head injury on physiology and how to manage this, and she will be presenting us with some cases to link this all together.

Following the talk, Dr Bell has put together some workshops on CT Head interpretation and management of bleeds, and fluid balance management in head injury. We’ll also have a cannulation workshop to refresh your skills!

Dr Bell is a Consultant Anaesthetist at the RVI with a specialist interest in Neuroanaesthesia and Ophthalmic Anaesthesia, and is also a Training Programme Director in the Northern School of Anaesthesia and ICM. Dr Bell also offers early clinical experience placements for 2nd years, and SSCs and electives for 4th years – making this a perfect opportunity to meet Dr Bell if this is something you’re interested in!
